A 14-foot sea turtle sculpture was recently unveiled at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, created to honor the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC). This massive art piece, crafted over 1,400 hours from stainless steel and colored acrylic, represents the four local turtle species and aims to raise awareness about marine conservation. The sculpture is a vital part of Reflextions Riverhead, a riverfront interactive experience.
